Couscous is a traditional North African and Middle Eastern dish made from precooked coarsely ground semolina. Think of it as tiny little pastas. Then, remind yourself that it cooks “table ready” in a scant 5 minutes. Use it as a bed for stew, meats or vegetables (the way Moroccans do) or as an entreé with your favorite pasta sauce.

Suggested Use
Keeps best refrigerated or frozen
Basic Recipe: Bring 1 1/4 cups water or broth to a boil. Add 2 Tbsp. butter, 1 cup Bob’s Red Mill Golden Couscous and salt (optional). Stir, cover, remove from heat, let stand for 5 minutes. Stir to fluff up and serve. Serves 2 to 3. As a cereal, add 1 cup Couscous to 2 cups hot milk and 2 Tbsp. butter. Cover, let stand for 5 minutes. Serve with honey, maple syrup, nuts, fruit, etc. Serves 2.
